This is what happened yesterday: On July 28, the highlight of the Fortnite World Championship took place: The solo final in New York. 100 of the best Fortnite players in the world participated.
In total, there were 6 matches, each starting with 100 players. They played the normal Battle Royale of Fortnite.
Points could be earned in various ways. A victory in a round was worth as much as 10 eliminations.
16-year-old from the USA wins the solo World Championship
This is the winner: Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf from the USA is the fortunate winner. He is only 16 years old.
Already in the first match, Bugha showed his class and took the round victory. Together with 9 eliminations, he climbed to the top.
From there on, Bugha always played at the top. He survived long and repeatedly secured eliminations. Thus, he constantly scored points in the following 5 matches.

The 13-year-old German Lyght, who had a major media appearance before the World Championship, only placed 80th.

How did other favorites perform? Also highly regarded was benjyfishy. The 15-year-old Englishman shone in the qualifiers. In the end, it was only enough for 25th place. He secured 19 points.
The star streamer Tfue had a difficult time entering the World Cup. The first rounds were forgettable, but in the final rounds, he at least secured a few eliminations. He finished 67th.
