Who wants to fly in WoW: Battle for Azeroth needs a lot of patience

In WoW: Battle for Azeroth it seems that you cannot fly at the beginning. Blizzard has already announced this during the development of the new WoW addon, and they are keeping their word. However, the first part of the achievement has now emerged, allowing you to fly in BfA.

Flying through the Pathfinder of Battle for Azeroth: In the current beta build of the new WoW addon Battle for Azeroth, the first part of the meta achievement “Pathfinder of Battle for Azeroth” has appeared. This achievement grants you a faster mount speed in Kul Tiras and Zandalar.

Pathfinder achievements have been Blizzard’s way in past addons, of putting a time lock on flying abilities. The discussion about this is always controversial: Some players think it’s good, others find it annoying. There is a trade-off between extensive exploration of a new world and the conveniences of flying.

Stringent requirements for the first part: The achievement seems to be not fully developed yet. According to the status on the beta server, you would need to farm reputation for the Zandalari and Kul Tiras for the first part of Pathfinder – thus for Horde and Alliance.

This would be the first time that players would have to play both factions for the Pathfinder, and it is likely a bug, according to wowhead. Additionally, this requirement would further increase the time demands.

The achievements take a lot of time: The achievements you need for the meta achievement can take a very long time. The explorations and questlines can be completed quickly, but the reputation will likely take several weeks.

The required factions are not yet known, however, they were already the limiting factor in Legion. It is likely that you will need additional factions for later Pathfinder achievements that will then allow flying directly.

The achievements you need to fulfill for Pathfinder of Battle for Azeroth Part 1 have been listed for you. As far as possible, we have translated the achievements into German:

Both factions

• Explorers of Battle for Azeroth – Explore the regions of Kul Tiras and Zandalar
  • Explore the Tiragarde Sound

Alliance

  • Drust Do It – Complete the storyline of Drustvar.
  • Stormsong and Dance – Complete the storyline in Stormsong Valley.
• Kul Tiras Diplomat – Achieve Respectful status with all the listed factions of Kul Tiras.

Horde

• Zandalari Forever! – Complete all the achievements listed below in Zandalar
  • The Throne of Zuldazar – Complete the storyline of Zuldazar.
  • The Dark Heart of Nazmir – Complete the storyline of Nazmir.
  • Secrets in the Sand – Complete the storyline of Vol’dun.
  • A Bloody Trade – Complete the “Blood Gate” questline in Zuldazar.
  • The Final Seal – Complete the scenario “Zandalar Forever.”.

According to the current status, the Alliance would have to complete less for their part than the Horde. Since both factions’ achievements are also listed in the meta achievement, there will likely be adjustments made here, so the list is probably not complete yet.
