Mark Hamill once recounted in an interview about a line he was supposed to say in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. However, he begged the director to cut it.
As Mark Hamill, the actor of Luke Skywalker in the “Star Wars” films, recounted in a 1977 interview, a line was removed from the 4th film because he felt it was so bad that he did not want to say it.

“Sometimes I dream about that line”
As Mark Hamill shared in the The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson , there was a line in the film that haunted him so much that he even dreamt about it and likely will never forget it for the rest of his life:
“Boy, I’ll never forget that as long as I live,” said the actor. “I sometimes dream about that line.”

Then he played out the situation that had bothered him so much. Harrison Ford aka Han Solo said in the scene: “Listen, kid, I’ve done my part of the deal. When I get to an asteroid, you, the old man, and the droids will be dropped off.”
To which Luke was supposed to reply: “But we can’t turn back, fear is their greatest defense, I doubt the security there is greater than on Aquilae or Sullust, and what is there is probably geared towards a large-scale attack.”
At that moment, the actor internally died and only thought: “Who talks like that, George?”

So he begged the director George Lucas to remove the line, and indeed it was taken out of the script for Episode 4.
