Sometimes complaining is worth it. World of Warcraft listens to the fans and changes one of the most coveted rewards for Night Elf fans.
The trading post in World of Warcraft is quite popular because it provides players with a lot of transmog options. However, a set that was soon to be in the hands of fans caused a lot of criticism. Because the prettiest set changes color depending on the time of day. Blizzard is now backtracking and giving everyone exactly what they want.
What kind of reward is this? We are talking about the “Burden of Unrelenting Justice” set. This is a transmog set that is used by the Night Elf Wardens. It is basically the iconic look of Maiev Shadowsong and the other Wardens, as seen in Legion.
The special feature of the set is that it changes color depending on the time of day. During the day, it is green, golden, and metallic, while at night it turns into a mix of white and silver.
How do you get the set? To obtain the set, you must fill the travel journal for a total of 12 months – that is, earn all the vendor currencies. This will be possible for the first time in January 2024, as the trading post started in February 2023.
If you miss one or more months, the reward will shift accordingly – you will still need to complete all 12 months.
What is changing now? After numerous complaints in the official WoW forum, on Reddit and on X, Blizzard has now announced that they will adjust the reward. There was a lot of criticism about the set automatically changing color. This spoiled the popular look of the Wardens for some. At the same time, particularly RP fans were annoyed that it is frustrating when their clothing just changes color in the middle of a session.
If you unlock the set, you will also receive two additional sets for your collection – namely, both the day and night variant as an option that does not change color.
When will the change come? This adjustment will only come with patch 10.2.5 “Seeds of Renewal”. There is no fixed release date for the patch yet. However, Blizzard has already announced that the unlock will also apply retroactively. So if you unlock the “Burden of Unrelenting Justice” in early January, you will also be credited with the two alternatives with the release of patch 10.2.5.
Here, the complaints from the community have paid off, and Blizzard reacted quite quickly – something the developers are doing more frequently with Dragonflight, as part of the new mentality of the team.
