New year, new games! 2019 holds many new beta tests, early accesses, and releases. Many gamers have been waiting for several of them for years, while others were only announced in 2018.
2019 – The year of MMORPGs? It seems that 2019 will be particularly interesting for fans of MMORPGs. The story of Final Fantasy XIV continues with the expansion Shadowbringers and Elder Scrolls Online is already looking forward to the next chapter of the story.
Among the new MMORPGs, promising games like Crowfall and Ascent: Infinite Realm are getting closer. However, the current Korean hit Lost Ark is slowly moving towards the West, with a secure release in Russia and much positive feedback from players. PvP fans, on the other hand, are getting new food with Ashes of Creation.
Looter shooters in 2019: The two big names in 2019 in this genre are The Division 2 and Anthem. Especially Anthem is hyped by many gamers after the first alpha test and has more tests ahead in January.
Although things are quieter around The Division 2, the Tom Clancy shooter still has a solid fan base that is looking forward to the continuation of Division 1.
There is just a short month between the releases of the two games, making it an exciting race for the players’ interest.
