Do you remember how you entered your very first MMORPG? Not the cool moments, which were certainly plentiful, but the difficulties and frustrations.
MMORPGs are inherently large games where you often roam around with countless other people in the same online world. This can intimidate new players who have never had anything to do with MMORPGs or multiplayer games at all and may even discourage them from playing.
However, seasoned MMO players do not really notice this difficulty after all the years of playing. Cortyn from MeinMMO has, for example, surprisingly found out that WoW is not as simple for newcomers as an experienced player would think.
However, the game does not even have to be actively hard, as was often the case in the past. The sheer amount of information that one is confronted with in an MMORPG from the very beginning is very high. It can be easy to get lost.
