Where Winds Meet has shared new information about the upcoming DLC and the second season – and it goes back in time.
What is behind the time travel? The developers of Where Winds Meet have addressed players in a letter and shared some new information about upcoming content (via Instagram).
In the letter, the team behind the action RPG reveals that the first DLC named “Hexi” will be released on March 6. With the DLC, players are set to embark on a “dreamlike journey” that lets them travel back in time.
What exactly lies behind the time travel is currently unknown.
What else is included in the DLC: The DLC will be released in stages, bringing a new region to ancient China every 28 days. There will be a total of three new regions: the “Jade Gate Pass”, “Liangzhou”, and “Quinchuan”.
Furthermore, a new combat style called “Bamboocut – Dust” will be introduced in March. In April, a new weapon called the “Heng Blade” will follow. This is a historical sword based on the design of the Chinese Jiannan region.
What to expect before the DLC: On February 6, the second season of Where Winds Meet will already begin, launching a new chapter. Among other things, there will be a new spotlight mode and the new sect “The Masked Group”.
Moreover, the developers emphasized again that they continue to work on optimization for PC, PS5 and Mobile as well as on improving multilingual localization. They have therefore invested more time and effort in the DLC so that players can properly enjoy the new content.
