The Horror Coop Game Phasmophobia relies on voice control to attract and neutralize the ghosts as ghost hunters. However, when you talk to the ghost, you should avoid using profane language if possible. It makes the ghosts really angry!
What’s the deal with the “evil words”? Phasmophobia is a horror game where you and three other players enter a haunted house as paranormal investigators. There, a grumpy ghost is lurking that you are supposed to capture.
For this, you use a clever voice control. In addition to the physical actions in the game world, you can and should talk to the ghost through the spirit box to get it to do what you want.
However, some words trigger angry reactions from ghosts, which often end in the death of the players. Some players have now rummaged through the game’s database and found words that definitely anger the ghost.

Besides deadly ghosts, there are also troubles with hackers who haunt you in the lobby.
Players lure stubborn ghost out of the basement with insults
Does it really work? On reddit, there are various threads where players report that it indeed triggers reactions when you call the ghost something like “Bitch” or “Motherfucker.”
User Sleepy_Annabella confirmed, for example, the motherfucker statement: “I have read that it angers the ghost when you say motherfucker. That is definitely true.”
Even more impressive is the effectiveness of nasty insults, as seen in this video. There, the ghost hunters try for a quarter of an hour to get the stubborn ghost to show itself. However, the grumpy ghost simply refuses to come out and hides somewhere in the house while the ghost hunters search in vain.
Eventually, they have had enough and start cursing profusely. Suddenly, the paranormal activity rises, and a terrifying ghostly figure angrily crawls out of the basement. It seemed like it just wanted to be left alone, but the vile cursing probably angered it so much that it took horrific revenge on the intruders.
So, if you don’t want to become a victim of an angry ghost monster, don’t curse at them. Just like in real life, they don’t react well when you call them motherfucker or worse.
