As the time for FIFA 21 is slowly coming to an end, the successor FIFA 22 is already on the horizon. But when is the new FIFA installment actually coming out? We at MeinMMO will tell you when you can expect a release.
In the past years, we usually knew about the release of the respective FIFA title by June. However, this time, it is a bit different. As of now (7th of July), there are still no official information about FIFA 22. Neither the release date, licenses, nor features are known at this point.
But that should change on July 22, because EA is hosting the online event “EA Play Live”, where new game titles from the software developer will be officially presented. There, FIFA 22 should finally be presented, and a release date announced. It would then be about a month later than in previous years.
When is the release of FIFA 22?
When could FIFA 22 be released? Since there is currently no official information about the release of FIFA 22, we can only speculate at the moment. It should be clear, however, that the new football simulation will probably be released in the fall between September and October 2021. This is a tradition, as the games have been released during this period since FIFA 2003.
Here are the release dates of the last years:
- FIFA 21 on October 9, 2020
- FIFA 20 on September 24, 2019
- FIFA 19 on September 28, 2018
- FIFA 18 on September 29, 2017
- FIFA 17 on September 27, 2016
Based on the release dates of previous years, we assume that FIFA 22 will again be released around late September or early October. September 24 and October 1 sound like plausible release dates, especially considering the unusually late presentation of FIFA 22 and the fact that many FIFA titles have been released on Fridays.
We remain excited and will keep you updated. Are you looking forward to the release of FIFA 22? Let us know in the comments!
