The advantage of the Web App: Thanks to the Web App for PC and the Companion App for iOS and Android, you can manage your Ultimate Team 24/7, no matter where you are. With these applications, manager tasks in FUT 20 can be completed without having to turn on the console.
For many FUT players, the Web App and the Companion App are part of the Ultimate Team experience. Additionally, you can earn bonus rewards through the apps.
What about a download of the Web App for FUT 20? The Web App is a browser application that does not require a download. You simply log in to the Web App. However, the Companion App, the FUT 20 app for mobile devices, does require a download via iOS or Android.
When does the FIFA 20 App for Ultimate Team start? Release, start time
When is the release of the FUT 20 Web App? The Web App starts on September 18, 2019. This has now been officially confirmed, we were correct in our prediction this year as well.
September 18 is the Wednesday one week before the release of FIFA 20, which takes place on September 27.
When does the Companion App start? The Companion App is basically the Web App for smartphones. In recent years, it has always been available one day after the release of the Web App. Therefore, it should go live on September 19 for FUT 20.
At what time does it start? This is not disclosed by EA Sports. We expect the start in the evening hours, between 7 PM and 11 PM.
When will the FUT 19 Web App end? A few days before the launch of the FUT 20 Web App, the FUT 19 Web App will be taken offline. This happened on Friday, September 13.

How to get Early Access to the FUT 20 Web App – Rewards for Veterans
Here’s how to get Early Access: Only FUT 19 players returning to FUT 20 will receive preliminary access. This means that FUT veterans can create their FUT 20 club before anyone else, namely from September 18, open their first packs, and manage their club.
These are the requirements for Early Access:
- You must have created a FUT club in FIFA 19 before August 1.
- This FUT 19 club must be valid until the start of the FUT 20 Web App.
- Additionally, your account must have a “good reputation”. This means, if you have been banned or have been negatively flagged in any way, you may not receive Early Access.
When is the Web App launch without Early Access? If you are not a FUT 19 veteran, you will only gain access to the new Web App after logging in for the first time in FIFA 20 FUT, creating your FUT club, and answering a security question. You will have to wait until the release of FIFA 20 on September 27 or obtain preliminary access.
The rewards for returning FUT players in the Web App: If you log in as FUT veterans, you can expect these bonuses:
- There are expected to be “Welcome back” sets.
- Additionally, you will receive daily gifts when you log in to the app once a day. The gifts usually last until October.
- Your rewards may differ from those of other players, as they depend on various factors, such as how much and how well you played in FUT 19.
The features of the FUT 20 app – Trading and all innovations
The Web App and the Companion App have the same features.
These FUT app features are considered secure: You can
- manage your FUT teams and club items,
- complete Squad Building Challenges (SBCs),
- visit the transfer market and buy and sell players and items – in other words, trading,
- view the TOTW (Team of the Week),
- inspect all cards, leaderboards, and other stats,
- purchase sets in the FUT Store (with coins or FIFA Points),
- redeem weekly rewards from Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions,
- share your teams with others thanks to unique URLs
- and complete objectives.
New confirmed features for the FUT 20 app include:
- You can create custom tactics for the active FUT team.
- You can make the new club customizations introduced in FUT 20.
- You can check your progress on the new season tasks. Some tasks can also be checked off directly through the app.
- You can apply a “SBC protection” to players. This prevents you from accidentally using one of your important players in an SBC.

- The Web App and the Companion App are free.
- You need an EA account to log in along with an email address, password, and security question.
- The Web App runs on desktop and mobile devices. The Companion App is designed only for iOS and Android.
- No download is required for the Web App. A download is necessary for the Companion App. If you have already installed the Companion App, it will receive an update.
- Once the Web App for FUT 20 is live, there will be no longer a Web App for FUT 19.
- You cannot play matches in FUT 20 with it.
- You cannot purchase FIFA Points in the app.
- Especially at launch, login issues are to be expected.
