In Destiny 2, the last Iron Banner in Season 5 is starting soon. This will be the last chance to obtain the current Iron Banner armor.
The end of Season 5 is approaching: The start of Season 6 in Destiny 2 is coming quickly for the Guardians. On March 5, the new season begins. This means you only have about two weeks left to earn the specific rewards of the current season.
This includes the Iron Banner armor pieces from Season 5.
Start date of the last Iron Banner of Season 5: The Iron Banner starts on February 19, 2019, with the weekly reset. The PvP event will last a week and end on February 26.
How is it played? The Iron Banner is played in a 6vs6 format. Bungie has been tight-lipped about the mode, but anything other than the Control mode would be a surprise.

Last chance for Season 5 armor: Bungie emphasizes that this is the last Iron Banner of the Forge season and thus the last chance for the beautiful armor set “Iron Fellowship”.
The next season will bring Lord Saladin with other armor pieces for the Iron Banner.
These weapons are up next: Lord Saladin is expecting you next week with the Pulse Rifle “Wolfclaws” and the Grenade Launcher “Crow Swarm”:
- The Pulse Rifle belongs to the rapid-fire archetype and deals energy damage. It has a fairly high aim assist, but stability and reload speed are poor. The other stats are below average for this archetype.
- The Grenade Launcher has an aggressive frame with high damage and high recoil. The rate of fire and projectile speed are strong, but the explosion radius is small.
Iron Banner weapons from Year 1: The Hand Cannon “Crimils Dagger” and the Submachine Gun “The Burden of Heroes” have returned in this season from Year 1. According to Bungie, these will also remain in Season 6 and will be available as drops for completed matches and as rewards from Saladin.
Submit your milestones this season: Bungie reminds you to redeem the completed Iron Banner milestones this season. Because when the Season of the Wandering (Season 6) begins, these will be removed from your inventory. So it’s not worth saving them.
Iron Banner tokens, however, will carry over to the next season.
Tip for the last Iron Banner of Season 5: Use this PvP event now to push your Guardians to the max power level of 650 – if you haven’t done so yet. Lord Saladin is bringing 7 milestones, all of which will drop powerful gear.
