In The Division 2, many agents feel uninspired. After a strong start in the spring, it has been quiet in Washington D.C. in recent months. We want to know from our readers at MeinMMO: What does The Division 2 need to do to get you back in?
This is the situation: In March, The Division 2 launched with great reviews. Players and critics called it the “most complete loot shooter that has been released to date.”
Especially in the comparison with Anthem, Massive’s tactical shooter looked strong and seemed like a logical and good evolution of The Division 1.
In the months since the launch, criticism of the game has been increasing, and many say they no longer log in.
Even Massive itself believes it’s fine to take a break from The Division 2.
We want to know from you what Massive needs to change with the next updates and episodes so that you can roam Washington D.C. as agents again.
These are the most common problems that players mention:
- Its losing steam – When the rapper ICE-T phrased it that way, thousands of agents agreed: While they haven’t played the raid yet, they don’t want to either – and the rest of the content isn’t worth it. New content could help here.
- Too much randomness in loot – A common complaint is that players don’t enjoy searching for better gear in The Division 2 because they feel too reliant on chance. There are hardly any opportunities to farm loot deliberately and improve gear. The way loot is earned in The Division 2 needs to change.
- PvP is dull – In The Division 1, the Dark Zone was an exhilarating change from PvE – in The Division 2, it remains dormant. The solution: a radical overhaul of PvP.
- More exciting items – The gear sets are currently considered too weak and need more variety. Also, new exotics to chase are still missing. A revision of the gear sets and more items and exotics could help here.
- Too little variety in build creation: Currently, nearly everyone plays DPS (with red stats). A rework of the skill system for “yellow stats” is desired by many and is also planned. The solution would be a revision of the skill system.
