What is the highest level in New World? The highest level you can currently reach in New World is Level 60. This completes your leveling process and allows you to focus on the enjoyable aspects of the New World endgame.
As of now, on the morning of July 21, 2021, it seems that no beta player has reached this highest level yet. However, during the alpha, there were many players who could explore the endgame.
How long does it take to reach Level 60 in New World? At the start of the beta, it’s difficult to estimate how long it takes to reach level 60 with your character. The process heavily depends on the player and their play style. Players who focus on leveling up their character will be quicker than those who take their time exploring Aeternum.
- In the first test in summer 2020, it took about 30 hours to reach max level with targeted farming.
- However, much was adjusted in the leveling process during the alpha.
- Various reddit posts mention figures between 60 and 200 hours to max level. There are no official statements from Amazon, and the alpha was also under NDA.

Is a max level of 60 unusual? Not really. Setting the highest level at 60 is not unusual for the release of an MMORPG. Final Fantasy XIV started with a max level of 50, World of Warcraft: Classic ended at level 60, and the maximum level in Guild Wars 2 remains at 80.
In New World, you will still have plenty to do until you reach level 60.

What can you do at level 60?
Once you have reached max level 60, you will gain access to the endgame content of New World. In addition to new areas designed exclusively for max level characters, there are also several different PvP and PvE content options that you can play, including:
- Special endgame instances called “Expeditions,” where you team up with other players in a group of 5 and fight your way through the content to a final boss.
- The PvP mode “Outpost Rush,” where you must defend your own outpost against other players while simultaneously trying to take theirs.
- The PvP wars for fortresses that take place in instanced areas.
- The invasions, where the Corrupted attack the game world and fortresses during large PvE events.
