The new trailer for The Division 2 gives you a brief overview of the content. The scenes reveal aspects of the story, setting, and features.
On March 15, the official release of The Division 2 took place. In the trailer “What is The Division 2?” the online game is introduced.
The trailer showcases scenes from Washington D.C., briefly explains the plot, and what players can expect in The Division 2.
This is what the new trailer shows:
- Washington D.C.: The new setting offers dynamic weather, a day/night cycle, and a diverse wildlife.
- The settlements: In the game world, civilians live organized in their own settlements. They fight against hostile factions to survive. Throughout the game, you must ally with them and conquer D.C. together.
- The White House: The former seat of government is now your operations base. Recruit specialists and continually expand your base. You can unlock skills and perks there and craft equipment.
- Story missions: You can expect extensive missions that lead you to various points in the game world and advance the story.
- Equipment: You can look forward to an extensive loot system with weapons and gear, where build creators can unleash their creativity.
- Tactical combat: The Division 2 is a cover shooter with tactical elements. Use the terrain wisely, use your skills at the right moment, and pay attention to which enemy types should be eliminated first.
- Control points: These locations in the game world are initially controlled by hostile factions. Conquer them together with the civilians and hold them against your enemies.
- Strongholds: These are the home bases of the factions. They become accessible later in the game and can be conquered by you.
- Dark Zones: These 3 PvEvP areas offer particularly good loot. But beware: Not only are NPCs hostile here, but other players can also take your equipment.
- Endgame: In the endgame of The Division 2, the new faction Black Tusk shakes up the game world significantly. Other factions will also become more dangerous. You can expect new, more dangerous activities in the game world such as the invaded missions.
- Free content after release: All expansions of the first year will be free. In the near future, a new stronghold of the Black Tusk called Tidal Basin will come, and the 1st 8-player raid will also start.
