The MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) offers you 6 different types of weapons to choose from. We want to know from you in our survey which one is your favorite.
Here’s what it’s about: Although ESO comes with a wide variety of weapons, every one of you surely has a favorite. You can always equip two of them and switch your weapon in battle, but everyone must have a favorite. And that’s the one we want to know from you through a survey by MeinMMO.

The agony of choice when it comes to weapons
These types of weapons are available: In The Elder Scrolls Online, you have a lot of freedom concerning your combat strategy. You can choose from 6 different classes, all bringing different foundations.
Each class can be played as a tank, DD, or healer and can wear any armor. Not only is every armor available, but all types of weapons are also at your disposal in every class and provide you with additional skills. These are the 6 types of weapons:
- Bow – A weapon for ranged combat, designed for physical damage
- Healing Staff – The weapon for healers or for other classes that want to have a backup
- Weapon with shield – Here, you carry a one-handed weapon and a shield. There are swords, axes, maces, and daggers
- Two-handed – These weapons are great for stamina builds and are popular in PvP
- Two weapons – This type of weapon allows you to deal high damage in physical melee combat. Here, too, there are swords, axes, maces, and daggers
- Destruction Staff – The choice for magical damage, mostly in ranged combat
These 6 categories are just the respective overarching term for the individual weapons. Each of these types of weapons also has different variations, such as a destruction staff with the fire element. Let us know in the comments which specific weapons you use and which classes you play with them.
Choosing a race can also play a role here. The individual races provide partially higher experience gain for your types of weapons. For example, Wood Elves have improved bow skills and Argonians are skilled in using healing staffs.
