The end of Season 19 in Diablo 3 is approaching. After that, players are looking forward to Season 20 with a new seasonal theme. We will show you what we know so far.
What does Blizzard say about the end of S19? So far, there has been no official announcement for a specific date. As community manager Nevalistis informed players, Blizzard will not reveal such a date at the end of a season as early as in the past.
The team now wants to announce when a season ends only shortly before it happens.
We will no longer announce an estimated time for the end of seasons. However, seasons should generally last about three months (depending on development needs, sometimes a bit longer, sometimes a bit shorter), and we will also inform you at least two weeks before the end of a season.

When does Season 19 in Diablo 3 end? Looking at the duration of past seasons of Diablo 3, one can roughly deduce when Season 19 is approaching its end. However, as the team itself states, there is no fixed date. Due to larger technical interventions, the date may shift forward or backward.
Season 19 started on November 22 and is expected to last about 3 months. The last seasons all ended on a Sunday. If we roughly calculate with a 2-week tolerance, we have the following possible dates for the end of S19:
- February 16, 2020
- February 23, 2020
- March 1, 2020
- March 8, 2020
How long did the last seasons run? Blizzard usually adheres to the 3-month plan. Even if there are sometimes exceptions.
- Season 18 started on August 23 and ended on November 10
- Season 17 started on May 17 and ended on August 18
- Season 16 started on January 18 and was supposed to end on March 17. However, it ended on May 12
Patrick says: So far, there has been a lot of positive feedback for Season 19. The seasonal theme excites some players and myself. Therefore, I tend to think that Season 19 will end between mid-February and early March. When Blizzard extended Season 16 by two months, they stated that the seasonal theme was well received by the community and they needed more time for the next season. In that respect, it would be logical for Season 19 to run at least as long as planned, as players are also happy with this seasonal buff.
What is there to do now in Diablo 3? There is currently a lot of selection of interesting builds that have made it to the Tier List of Season 19. Anyone who has been waiting to unleash the WW Barbarian can now enjoy that in Season 19.
You also have time in January to get the Butcher pet and the Crown Calf in the “Darkness in Tristram” event.
