World of Warcraft has had many strong and impressive final bosses in raids. But which one was the coolest? Who overshadows all the others?

In World of Warcraft, there is currently a heated discussion about the current final boss N’Zoth, who awaits at the end of the raid Ny’alotha. In the eyes of many players, the fight is considered unworthy and boring. The final boss was “simply slaughtered”, and a storyline that has spanned over a decade was wrapped up too quickly. The criticism was so harsh that WoW had to hide a video on YouTube.

But this inevitably leads to the question: Which final boss in World of Warcraft was grand? Which boss overshadowed all others, met expectations, and perhaps even exceeded them? For this reason, we have a survey here for you, where you can vote for your “perfect final boss”.

Which bosses are available for selection? All boss fights that marked the end of a respective raid in the history of World of Warcraft are available for selection. Some raids have two bosses because they have an additional final boss in the mythical mode. Excluded are “PvP bosses” such as those from Archavon’s Chamber, which were expanded with each patch.

What criteria should be considered for voting? It is up to you how you justify your choice and decide which final boss is the best. However, if you need some suggestions for criteria that can determine a good boss fight, you can orient yourself by these points:

The story of the boss: How exciting was the boss introduced? How important is it to defeat him?
The fight itself: How interesting are the mechanics of the fight? How many phases did the fight have and how varied were they?
The visuals of the fight: How imposing was the fight? Were there cool scenery changes, what was the atmosphere of the boss room?
The difficulty: Was the boss particularly challenging and hard to master?
The loot: Did the boss have particularly interesting loot?
