3. The Elder Scrolls Online – Mannimarco
Who is Mannimarco? In the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online, Mannimarco is one of the five companions sent by Varen Aquilarious to find the Amulet of Kings. With this, Varen wanted to legitimize his claim to the throne.
Mannimarco deceived his companions and ensured that the boundaries between the planet Nirn and the Oblivion realm were breached, allowing the daedric prince Molag Bal to place anchors in the world that were supposed to connect Nirn with the Coldharbour realm. He is an undead being, split into two entities: the God of Worms and a lich.
What personality does Mannimarco have? Mannimarco is cunning. He always pursues his own goals and tries to achieve them through manipulation. He cannot be trusted.
Why is he evil? Mannimarco has always strived for power and wanted to use the necromancy knowledge he acquired in the Mage’s Guild to conquer the world. Galerion, the founder of the Mage’s Guild, called for Mannimarco to be hunted, which is why the necromancer has a particular hatred for the guild.
What was his worst deed? Not only did he assist Molag Bal in placing his anchors in the fantasy world Nirn, but as a lich during the Oblivion incident in The Elder Scrolls 4, he attacked the Mage’s Guild, which was nearly destroyed under his onslaught.
Was he defeated? In The Elder Scrolls Online, players choose to either free him from captivity or let him rot in his cage. However the players choose, he later becomes a great threat.
After he split into the lich and the God of Worms, the hero of Kvatch in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion kills the lich. However, the God of Worms continues to exist.
