During the Google Connect for Stadia, a new official gameplay trailer for Watch Dogs Legion (PS4, Xbox One, Stadia, PC) was shown. The highlight from the clip of Ubisoft’s new game was some pretty broken heroes that you can recruit into your team when the release comes in March 2020.
This is the special gag of Watch Dogs Legion: In the new action game from Ubisoft, you will be able to recruit every resident of the city of London. This can be up to 9 million people, as Ubisoft states.
In trailers, Ubisoft tries to make it appear as if all characters are unique, a bit eccentric, and offer something special. They are supposed to affect the actual game.
In the new gameplay trailer that Google showed at Stadia Connect, 3 of these people were introduced that you can play as, and they have some quirky abilities or combinations of pros and cons.
Heroes with Quirky Abilities and Personalities
These were the heroes in the video:
Victor Lysenko is a Russian with apparently a mild alcohol problem. The advantage: when he is drunk, he has 50% resistance to damage. Luck is indeed with the drunk. Cheers.
Sue Taylor is a lawyer. If you have her on your team, there is a 25% chance that someone will be released from prison. She seems to grant a passive bonus.
Heroes go to prison for example if they prefer to give up rather than die. There is no shame in that, says the cheerful voice in the trailer.
Alan Murphy looks like a great hero. However, he hasn’t visited a doctor in 25 years. The spry retiree deals 100% more damage with rifles but can also drop dead at any time. And then he is gone – Watch Dogs Legion features permadeath.
In the trailer, it is noticeable that Murphy shoots like a madman but moves rather slowly. This could be another disadvantage when recruiting older residents of London – as already noted in the grandma’s gameplay.

What else can be seen in the trailer? There are still a variety of passersby with interesting abilities that you could recruit into your team or not.
There are some very eccentric characters to be seen, from street fighters to punks to ninjas. In addition, Ubisoft promises that you can also customize your team.
When is the release? Watch Dogs Legion is set to be released on March 6, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and also Google Stadia.
Watch Dogs 3 is set to offer multiplayer.
