What is Conan Exiles? No, it is not an MMORPG!

The survival online game Conan Exiles is not only being released for PC but also for Xbox One.

The early access phase starts for PC on January 31, 2017, for Xbox One in spring. From that day, players can enter the dark fantasy world and try to survive. Funcom also explained what Conan Exiles is and what it is not. The story initially takes center stage. You are a prisoner who is exiled in a harsh land to die. But your will to survive is stronger. Thus, the survival aspect is also at the forefront.

From nothing to hero

You must gather resources to create tools with which you can search for food and defend yourself against dangerous animals. If you play on a PvP server, it is even necessary to defend yourself against other players. It is also possible to build your own structures, which may lead to creating entire cities together with other players.

It is not an MMORPG

You can enslave NPCs and make them do menial tasks or sacrifice them to deities who will then grant you wishes. Conan Exiles can be played in both single-player mode and online. Funcom states that it is not an MMORPG. Due to the survival aspect and because Funcom wants to tell an exciting story this time (not in the form of quests, but in the form of lore snippets that can be found everywhere), you will not interact with thousands of players in the world. For that, there is Age of Conan.

By the way, the stories of Age of Conan and Conan Exiles are not really connected. Both games are set in the same world, but Conan Exiles is not a sequel to Age of Conan. A new trailer is already preparing you for the great adventure.
