The Twitch streamer Simon “Unge” Wiefels spoke out on May 27, 2024, about accusations from his ex-girlfriend Rachel and the YouTuber Vik, also known as iBlali. He wants to withdraw from the influencer world for now and undergo therapy.
What is the situation?
- On May 26, Unge’s ex-girlfriend Rachel released a video in which she talked about her experience in the relationship with the Twitch streamer. She speaks of abusive behavior and accuses Unge of having mistreated her cat.
- Then came a video from the YouTuber Vik, also known as iBlali, who reported how Unge allegedly made his life in the influencer paradise of Madeira hell. The discrepancies between the two are said to stem from an unresolved conflict from 2015.
After Unge briefly commented on the allegations on X, formerly Twitter, he published a detailed statement on YouTube on May 27, 2024, and bid farewell for now.
A brief summary of the background can be found here:
Relationship with Rachel was “toxic on both sides”
What does the statement say? In the 42-minute video, Unge addresses 3 aspects: His relationship with Rachel, the conflict with Vik, and the revelation that he allegedly defended himself on X with a fake account.
This is what Unge says about Rachel: Unge denies having been violent towards his ex-girlfriend’s cat. He says the cat was already fearful and had had bad experiences, especially with men, beforehand. It made him very sad that the animal was afraid of him; however, he tried to maintain a good relationship with it.
Furthermore, Unge denies any physical violence against Rachel. The relationship was toxic on both sides; they argued and yelled a lot, according to the Twitch streamer. He was emotionally dependent in the relationship and did not always behave correctly, often yelled, and was “overall not a good partner.”
Unge accuses Vik of psychological terror, says he warned him
What was it about Vik? Unge admits that he began a relationship with Vik’s ex-girlfriend. However, he and the YouTuber were not close enough for him to see this as a big problem he needed to apologize for.
He does admit that he should not have handled the situation that way and that he was “an asshole.”
However, he sees the wrongdoing primarily with Vik, who allegedly pressured his ex-girlfriend massively. Unge speaks of “psychological terror.” Years later, they understood each other enough to be polite and even participated in events together.
When Vik then moved to Madeira, Unge did not want to have anything to do with him but did not consciously obstruct him. He did not forbid other influencers from associating with him but merely “warned his friends.”
Other influencers had not looked favorably upon Vik in the past and had gossiped about him, according to Unge. Now, some of them are turning against him because there is “nothing left to gain” from him. He describes them as “fair-weather friends.”
“Lurkgirly” was actually Unge
What was it about the second account? Unge admits to having operated a second account on X named “Lurkgirly,” through which he defended himself. That was very embarrassing. On X, the Twitch streamer stated in a now-deleted post that one should not exaggerate the issue – most content creators have such an account.

Does Unge admit wrongdoing? On X, Unge published a second voice recording in addition to his video. In it, he admitted that a large part of the mistakes lay with him, that he had been “a spiteful person” and had “an absolutely sick ego.”
He apologizes to Vik and Rachel as well as to everyone he has hurt.
What happens next? Unge announced that he would temporarily withdraw from the online world. For now, he wants to complete therapy. The Twitch streamer also says that he is well off anyway and does not need to “save his reputation” to continue producing content.
In the foreseeable future, no content from him that earns him money will come; he will not accept placements. However, he reserves the right to express himself on social media during this time and perhaps share impressions from life.
