In Fortnite, players are currently getting the new Tilted World Scythe to take down their opponents. However, some of these players are jumping into their doom with the weapon – as it has a flaw.
This is the weapon: The Tilted World Scythe was introduced in the new 18.21 update for Fortnite and is extremely dangerous in close combat. You can get it, fitting to its name, in the Tilted World. How exactly this works, you can find out in the Tilted World Scythe guide.
The dark melee weapon offers a combo strike, a sprint attack, and an aerial butterfly attack. All these moves are suitable to quickly send your opponents to their doom.
However, the butterfly attack currently has a stupid flaw that can eliminate the scythe-wielding players themselves.
Do not jump too high with the Tilted World Scythe
This is the problem: The jump attack with the Tilted World Scythe does not protect you from fall damage. This is surprising many players. After all, everything about this move looks like you are supposed to dive from great heights onto unsuspecting enemies.
Unfortunately, this leads to your own demise, and not the death of any opponent, as shown in the video by user “Rexhame Rambo” on YouTube. Here, the scythe should only be used for a targeted jump forward to cover a bit of distance. But see for yourselves:

Is this how it’s supposed to be? Actually not. On Twitter, “Fortnite Status” has already commented, stating: “Caution, this thing is sharp! We are aware of a problem where the Smash attack of the Tilted World Scythe can cause fall damage when jumping from too great a height. We will fix this issue in our next game update,” according to the tweet (via Twitter).
Also, in the Fortnite Trello, where various errors to be fixed are listed, the problem is already documented. The fall damage is scheduled to be corrected in the next game update.
Until then, you should be careful when jumping around with the scythe. If in doubt, rather fight on the ground towards epic victory.
