The buff from Season 19 in Diablo 3 stacks up to 1,000. The “bonus” that then appears is nasty and deadly. See here what happens at 1,000 stacks.
What kind of buff is this? Season 19 has been running in Diablo 3 since Friday, November 22. All players participating start at level 1 and are accompanied by a buff throughout the entire leveling process up to level 70 – a buff that works in combination with killstreaks.
If you achieve a kill streak with 15 enemies, exploding chickens appear to help you. If you reach a kill streak of 100 enemies, massive energy whirlwinds appear that deal a lot of damage to your opponents. You can see all bonuses of the Season Buff S19 here.
What happens at 1,000 stacks of the buff was kept secret by Blizzard. Players were meant to find out for themselves. And they have now done that – at the cost of their digital lives.
1,000 Stacks of the Season Buff in Season 19 – Video
This is what happened: Reaching 1,000 stacks is laborious and takes a while. However, players have now managed to film what happens at this milestone. A form of Diablo himself is summoned. And he is incredibly nasty.
In the YouTube video from the channel PlayCgame, you can see what the encounter looks like on Torment 16.
First, a huge pentagram appears, then Diablo spawns in its center. He deals quite a bit of damage and quickly takes down the players in the linked video. On Reddit, it says “Basically, he knocks everything down with one hit.”.
The opponent is this strong: Additionally, the summoned Diablo can withstand a lot of damage. Under his health bar, you can read:
- Physical Resistance
- Fire Resistance
- Lightning Resistance
- Cold Resistance
- Poison Resistance
- Arcane Resistance
- Holy Damage Resistance
It is visibly difficult to inflict damage on this being and take him down. At about 4 minutes and 40 seconds into the embedded video, Diablo then falls.
What loot is there? The creator of the video writes on Reddit that this Diablo on Torment 16 dropped the following items:
- 4 keys for Greater Nephalem Rifts
- A few materials (no Breath of Death)
- An Infernal Machine from each Act
Be careful: Anyone who is not prepared for this encounter should let the stacks drop below 1,000. Because Diablo is immensely powerful. Whether Blizzard intended this strength is unclear. But he has already torn apart hardcore players in one hit.
On Twitter, user Zelse007 writes that he summoned a Diablo through the 1,000 stacks in his hardcore game and killed him.
