A forthcoming card in Hearthstone is causing significant problems. Priests will become almost unbeatable if Blizzard doesn’t take action quickly.
Just a few hours ago, we reported that Blizzard is distributing a new, free Legendary to all players with the event “Revenge of the Mechs”. The card SCHN1PP-SCHN4PP is quite good and is expected to see a lot of play – especially among Priests. The community has already discovered a combo that makes Priests unstoppable. Players are quickly calling for a nerf.
What is the problem? The new card SCHN1PP-SCHN4PP, which players can obtain from June 3, is a really strong mech. For just 3 mana, it has the keywords Magnetic, Echo, and Deathrattle: Summons 2 Microbots (1/1) and has solid stats of 3/2. With a very simple combination, it will be possible for Priests to play this card infinitely in a single turn.
With the “Magnetic” effect, they can make a minion infinitely strong and then simply overwhelm the opponent in one turn.
How does the combo work? The combo starts on turn 4 and is completed by turn 5 – this is very early in a match.
- On turn 4, the Priest plays a mech that must survive until the next turn. The “False Copper Tail,” which costs 4 mana and has Stealth, making it hard to kill, is a good option.
- On turn 5, the Priest plays the “Ruthless Explorer.” This allows Deathrattle minions to cost 3 mana less, but they die at the end of the turn.
- Then, you play as many SCHN1PP-SCHN4PP as you want. Their cost is reduced to 0, and since the card has Echo, you can play it infinitely and connect it to the previous mech.
- Once the minion is strong enough to kill the opposing hero in one attack, you attack in the same turn and win immediately.
What do the players think: This combination is already being hotly debated on Reddit. Players agree that Blizzard simply overlooked this interaction. They expect that the Ruthless Explorer will be nerfed or SCHN1PP-SCHN4PP will receive a nerf before it is released.
What do you think caused this oversight? Did Blizzard simply miss something here? Or is another nerf planned?
