The cuddly MMO Warlords Awakening, formerly known as ELOA, will launch in Europe on August 2nd via Steam. Meanwhile, it is already a thing of the past in its home country Korea!
It is the endless story in the gaming industry. The MMORPG Elite Lords of Alliance (ELOA), previously known as Kuntara Online and now as Warlords Awakening on Steam, is launching in Europe once again. However, there are reasons for concern, as the game has been shut down in Korea – once again. Is the same fate awaiting here?
In Korea, “ELOA” is already dead again. As “Warlords Awakening,” the MMORPG has once again tried to establish itself in Korea. Allegedly, the player numbers were also quite solid, but about a week ago, the game was shut down there again. The reasons for this are still somewhat unclear, as this time, it seems there were no complaints about a lack of players.
Big plans – are they still there? The new developer and publisher PlayWith had just recently stated that the other publishers had made mistakes with ELOA and that they do not want to repeat them. They want to be close to the community, listen to their feedback, and implement change requests promptly and quickly. What remains of that – and how it relates to the European version – is still uncertain.
Fans should be cautious. Those considering the reboot Warlords Awakening should exercise caution. Although there is no indication that Warlords Awakening will be quickly cut off in Europe, the decline in Korea is certainly not a good sign. Those who want to play it safe should wait instead of investing hundreds of euros in a game that might be gone in a few months.
There is already a release date for Europe. Warlords Awakening will launch on July 26th via Steam.
Early Access postponed
Update 27.7.: The early access for Warlords Awakening was supposed to start on 26.7. – but was postponed at short notice. They encountered problems during the closed tests with the Ambassadors. The new date is August 2nd at 9:00 AM our time.
