Vermintide 2 Class Guide: Victor Saltzbrand
The son of a blacksmith, who was taken into the ranks of witch hunters and is now one of their best inquisitors – even though he lost an eye.
Level 1 – Witch Hunter Captain
With wheel lock pistols and rapier, witch hunters are a living arsenal that become a threat to enemies at any distance.
- Marked enemies (default T key) take increased damage. Always keep elite enemies and bosses marked!
- Your ability “Provocation” knocks enemies down and increases the critical hit chance of all allies. Combine this with Kerillian’s “Shade” class or your ability to instantly kill human-sized enemies with critical headshots.
- With “Provocation”, boss abilities like the healing of chaos spawns can be prevented. Use the ability when an ally is grabbed and before they are devoured to interrupt the monstrosity.
Level 7 – Bounty Hunter
The bounty hunter Victor has dissolved his connection to the witch hunter order beyond the name and now operates independently as hunter of the unclean.
- With double ammunition capacity and faster reloading, you are a threat at range with any weapon.
- Change the talents according to your weapons. Crossbows are reloaded very slowly, but they are very accurate, while some pistols do not need to be reloaded but have high spread.
- “Blessed Shots” makes a shot every 10 seconds or after a kill in melee guaranteed critical. Combine this with the free shot from the rapier to be effective at all ranges, even without ammunition.
- Your ability “Charged and Secured” not only hits all enemies in a line but also deals significant damage to bosses. Similar to “Provocation”, he can also interrupt some abilities.
Level 12 – Zealot
As a zealot, Saltzbrand is a melee fighter who becomes more dangerous with every opponent around him and every drop of blood lost within him. He grows in his crusade to purify the world.
- You gain 5% more attack power at 25 missing health points (up to a maximum of 20%). Increase your maximum life to maximize this passive ability.
- Use the talents that give you life upon hitting with your ability “Holy Zealot” and grant temporary life on kills. This way, you can benefit longer from “Fiery Faith”.
- Your heavy attacks cannot be stopped, and you can occasionally resist death. Play aggressively, but communicate well with your group!
Premium Class: Warrior Priest
You can only play a warrior priest if you previously purchase the “Warrior Priest” DLC. The class has access to new, unique weapons as Saltzbrand refuses to wield weapons not blessed by Sigmar. However, you have no ranged capabilities. Warrior priests are excellent as supporting tanks.
- Your career skill makes you or an ally temporarily immortal. After the time expires, the shield explodes and deals damage to enemies. Additionally, you take 20% less damage and a portion of the damage as damage over time that cannot kill you.
- Use these opportunities to absorb heavy blows and combine that with healing at the right moment to avoid damage.
- You deal extra damage against many enemies and also increase the combat efficiency of your team. Use this to stagger enemies and thus conquer difficult passages.
