In the latest Q&A of Warhammer 40k Eternal Crusade, the developers answered urgent questions from fans.
The launch of Eternal Crusade on Steam was a while ago and received a rather “mediocre” response from many players. Some complain that the game is never “fully finished”, while others are happy with the development process in which they were more or less involved. In the latest “Q&A” round, the developers addressed the most pressing questions regarding the near future of the game.
Currently, there are often matches with 45 players in Eternal Crusade – however, 15 against 30. That isn’t particularly fair and is not much fun for those involved. This is a bug in the matchmaking system that will be fixed soon.
Moreover, players can look forward to a cooperative mode “in the near future”, where they will fight against PvE opponents. After all, Tyranids and other abominations are eager to be visited. At the same time, they are working on polishing the existing modes, which sometimes still feel clunky or unfair.
In typical “Eternal Crusade” fashion, not all questions are answered with full seriousness. Following the motto “better a humorous answer than no answer at all”, such statements also appeared in the FAQ:
“What kind of vehicle customization will there be? (Banners, sharp things for Chaos, glowing red things for Orks, etc.)”
The answer to that: “Yes!”
Or this request: “Please explain when you are working on the Manidblasters. The ‘Striking Scorpions’ are still not complete and that’s a bit embarrassing.”
“We are working on it as soon as the feature makes it onto our list of top priorities.”
If you are not happy with such responses, there is nothing that can be done for you. This is probably customer service in the 41st millennium.
