Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 gets a new class, the Techmarine, and now we finally know what it can do.
What kind of new class is this? Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has introduced the new class of the coop shooter, the Techmarine, in detail. It will be released with Patch 12, expected in February 2026.
Techmarines are like engineers and mechanics, ensuring that the machines of the Space Marines function – accordingly, the abilities and arsenal of the class in Space Marine 2 reflect this.
Engineer with automatic cannons and axe
What exactly can the Techmarine do? The special ability of the Techmarine is the so-called Servo-Gun. This is a cannon mounted on the shoulder of the fighter that can automatically annihilate a group of opponents with a powerful salvo.
Furthermore, the Techmarine can scout and activate stationary Tarantula turrets that fire at enemies until they are out of ammunition or destroyed.

The Omnissian Axe is a new melee weapon exclusive to the Techmarine with a wide attack radius. Additionally, it has a special attack called “Omnissian Rush,” where the Techmarine charges forward and impales his enemies.
The Techmarine is primarily designed for crowd control and is meant to keep enemy hordes at bay while his allies deal damage. The developers describe him as a hybrid class with a slight tendency towards melee combat.
