What is the deal with the space trip? The loot shooter Warframe promotes the idea that you can become a Space Ninja and shred enemies in space. At least the space part is something that the developer Digital Extremes plans to bring closer to its fans in real life soon.
In celebration of the fan event Tennocon 2019, it was announced that a lucky participant of a raffle will soon be allowed to take a real trip to space.
250,000 Dollars for a real space trip
What is the process for the space trip? If you win, you will receive a check from Digital Extremes for 250,000 US dollars. According to the developers’ calculations, this should be sufficient for a generic space trip.
You will then use this to finance your trip to space. If the whole experience costs more, that is your problem, and you will have to cover the difference yourself, as well as any potential fees and taxes.
Furthermore, you will need to arrange for a provider who will actually launch you into space. Therefore, Digital Extremes also recommends obtaining legal advice in case of a win to avoid any issues.
Alternatively, you could probably spend the money on something else if the space trip ends up being too expensive or stressful for you.

How can one win the space trip? To win, you must be drawn from a pool of participants. The draw will take place around January 11, 2020. To enter the pool, you must register on the official Warframe site.
After that, from July 6 to November 30, 2019, you will have the opportunity each day to throw an additional ticket into the pool if you complete at least one mission in the game.
From December 1 to December 31, 2019, you can even add 2 tickets to the pool daily if you complete two missions. The contest ends on December 31, 2019.
So, those who grind Warframe every day will have higher chances than those who only check in occasionally. The contest should make the already successful game even more popular.
