Since yesterday evening, PC players of the third-person online space shooter Warframe can prove themselves in the arena. Console Tenno, on the other hand, can enjoy more choices in their virtual wardrobe. We present both updates.
Operation Rathuum in Warframe
Last week, Pax East took place in Boston, USA, where developer Digital Extremes introduced some upcoming features for the space shooter Warframe. This included the event “Rathuum,” which was integrated into the PC version just yesterday.
You will be notified by Cressa Tal, the head of the Steel Meridian syndicate, who asks for your help. Some Grineer defectors have been captured by Kela de Thaym and are to be brought before the Rathuum combat court for the amusement of their supporters. Whoever wins is free. Whoever loses… well.
But you can take her place and fight for the freedom of the oppressed. To do this, you need to earn a total of 100 Tribunal points to buy the prisoners free from Kela. You have three arenas available with varying difficulty levels. The higher the enemy level, the more Tribunal points you can claim with a victory.
Modifiers Galore
However, you will face different executioners, which will not be an easy task. For winning, your gear items, such as energy and health pods, cannot be used. However, there are various refresh points in the arena, like those found in the Conclave.
In addition, you can expect various modifiers. For instance, you might have to manage with half health, shield, or energy, be permanently drained of health, or have no respawns at all. Particularly nasty.
If those obstacles weren’t enough, it’s worth mentioning that the executioners have been equipped with new mods to give them an additional advantage and make your demise as challenging as possible. You can grab these 9 new mods in your fight against Kela personally, as well as the blueprint for the Dual Kohmak.
Rewards
If you successfully fight your way through the arenas and become the executioner of the executioners, Steel Meridian rewards you with the Rathuum badge, seal, and the Furax Wraith. This is a melee weapon that has slightly improved stats compared to its normal version.
When you finally receive the coordinates for the location of Kela de Thaym’s defectors, your actual syndicate will also contact you and make any suggestions regarding the next steps concerning the prisoners.
Additionally, there is once again a trophy to earn in the final arena, which can be repeated as often as you like for your clan. Here, the sum of the best results of all participating clan members counts. How many executioners you need to execute for the best result regarding the size of your clan can be found in the following table.
Until May 9, you still have time to earn fame and honor for your clan and face Kela de Thaym and her followers who crave deadly entertainment.
Holy Guardian for Consoles
While PC players can attempt their luck in bloody arena battles, there is the “Holy Guardian” update for console players. This includes alternative helmets for Nezha, Atlas, and Wukong, as well as the Oberon Feyarch Deluxe Skin, which is also available in a package with an alternative look for Paris and Ack & Brunt.
If you’re not part of the fashion enthusiasts, there are two new weapons waiting to be built and tested: the Zhuge crossbow and the Sibear hammer. Both blueprints are available in the market and can be crafted with the collected materials.
Furthermore, many changes regarding balance in PvP have been made. Anyone who wants to know exactly if their preferred equipment still works as before should grab a coffee and take a long look at the lengthy list, as it would exceed the scope at this point.
And if you have always wanted to face a level 100 boss in daily missions, there is now a chance to do so as a final task.
