In the action MMO Warframe , the Monkey King from Chinese mythology is available in the free-to-play game with the Wukong Warframe.
According to Gamespot, players will be able to craft the “Wukong” Warframe starting November 25 by using resources that are available for free in the game. Alternatively, they can pay real money and purchase it from the store. Currently, Wukong is available for PC – the consoles Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will follow later.
Wukong is a powerful warrior with the heart of a trickster – wielding his staff with both hands, he can strike at enemies. His power is based not just on brute strength, but also on cleverness and cunning. The most well-known video game incarnation of the mythological figure in the West can be found in League of Legends. He also appears in Smite – and he is the inspiration for Son Goku from the Dragon Ball franchise.
The Wukong Warframe was one of 3 Warframes that were exclusive for a while in the Chinese version.
