In Warframe, the Operation Plague Star event is taking place on PC until April 17. You must stop infected enemies that break out of a huge tumor located on the Plains. Here you can find an overview of the event and the rewards.
Shortly after the Plains of Eidolon came to Warframe, the Operation Plague Star event occurred for the first time. During the event, a massive tumor filled with infected enemies appears on the Plains. Your task is to eliminate the enemies in bounty missions before they reach the city of Cetus and its inhabitants.
Operation Plague Star is now active on PC and will last until April 17. The event is also expected to return to PS4 and Xbox One, but there is no exact date for that yet.
If you have participated in the event before, you can bring your operative supplies into the current event.
Bounty mission “Operation Plague Star” is running in 4 phases
During the event, you can accept a special bounty mission from Konzu in the city of Cetus. For fighting the Infested, you will earn reputation and can exchange it for rewards like Zaw parts and mods that you can only obtain during the event.
The event mission is repeatable and proceeds in 4 steps:
- Steal the Thrax toxin from the Grineer: On the map, there is a marker in a cave where you can find the Thrax toxin. The toxin can destroy the tumor and free the Plains. You will encounter Grineer in the cave.
- Thrax toxin mixing phase: Now you need to bring the toxin to a vault and defend it. During this phase, you also want to add Infested Catalyst and Eidolon Phylaxis to the toxin mixture. This can be done through your gear wheel. To achieve maximum reputation, you need to do this 4 times for both the Catalyst and the Phylaxis.
- Escort the drone: Here you simply have to escort a drone along with the toxin mixture to the meteor mining site. Of course, the drone must not be destroyed during this process.
- Boss fight! In the final phase, you will fight against a horde of Infested. Provided you have added 4 x Eidolon Phylaxis to the Thrax toxin mixture, an Infested Hemocyte will also appear. The Hemocyte is essentially equivalent to a Lephantis (link leads to the Warframe Wiki) from phase 2. All strategies that work against Lephantis will also be effective against the Hemocyte. Rewards – What you are fighting for in the event
Visit Nakak, the curiosities vendor in Cetus, and exchange your event reputation here for rewards.
- Eidolon Phylaxis: Equipped, you will earn more reputation and the difficulty of the event will increase.
- Infested Zaw parts: Modular components that can be used to craft a Zaw.
- Event emblem: An emblem inspired by the meteorites.
- Infested Zaw Exodia (Arkana): Buffs to enhance your Zaw weapons.
- Trophies for the clan.
These weapons and mods are returning for the event:
- Ether Daggers: Not normally available.
- Snipetron: A Corpus sniper rifle that gives you 3,000 mastery points. Not normally available.
- Mod Fulmination / Detonation: There is no other way to obtain this mod.
- Mod Sacrifice / Atonement: There is no other way to obtain this mod.
What else is worthwhile in the event?
- You have the opportunity to farm rare resources like Kuva or materials from the Plains more easily.
- You have the opportunity to receive finished Forma, of which one Forma already means 3,000 points.
