Warframe was featured at the PC Gaming Show press conference at E3 2019. Instead of new information, there was advertising for TennoCon.
What happened? A presentation by Digital Extremes, the creators behind Warframe, was announced for the PC Gaming Show at E3 2019. It was said that there would be a look at the upcoming space battles. These are planned for the Empyrian update. Players will get their own combat ships and can fight with them in coop.

The trailer only contains previously known footage of the space battles. There were no new updates or information about the update or space battles during the entire presentation.
This is how the event was promoted: At the end of the trailer, there is a note that the full reveal of Empyrian and the space battles can be seen at TennoCon (on July 6, 2019). TennoCon is Warframe’s own fan convention, which takes place in Canada.
There is also a note that everyone who watches TennoCon live on Twitch will receive the Warframe Nekros Prime for free. This is the only new information from Warframe’s presentation that will surely make many players happy.
The comparison to last year: Warframe also had a presentation at the PC Gaming Show at E3 2018. However, there was a new trailer that revealed the long-awaited Sacrifice update along with its release date.
It provided a glimpse into the then-new story chapter and unseen scenes. The trailer created excitement and anticipation.
Why this is unfortunate: The developers at Digital Extremes are likely working hard to finish the update and make it presentable for TennoCon. After all, the space battles are supposed to be gigantic, and there will surely be more big, surprising reveals at the convention.
However, this presentation at E3 2019 was disappointing. Especially when comparing the trailer from 2019 with that from 2018. This presentation came off as just an advertisement, which is unfortunate because Warframe is a game that is always full of surprises.
