The multiplayer shooter Warframe has set a record for the number of concurrent players again with the new update Octavia’s Anthem. The reason was the hunt for the new Octavia Warframe, which can even compose its own music.
Warframe sets new records for concurrent players with each major expansion, and the current update “Octavia’s Anthem” was no exception.
The reason for the current success was the new Warframe Octavia, who fights with music and even lets you compose your own pieces.
Warframe: The Hunt for the Techno Bard
To equip Octavia as a Warframe, players must complete a lengthy questline. Only then can you use the Bard Warframe and compose your own music with the tool “MandaChord”. This will then be used by Octavia as a skill in-game to confuse enemies or buff allies.
You can even save your creations and share them with other players! This cool new feature and the colorful new Warframe attracted a total of 69,526 players simultaneously to Digital Extremes’ servers, thus setting a new record. Due to this success, Warframe moved up to the top 3 of the most played games (Top Games By Current Players category) on Steam.
