After the announcement of new content at Tenno-Con, the hype surrounding the online game Warframe has been rekindled. Player numbers are currently skyrocketing.
What content has been announced? With Heart of Deimos, the next big expansion for Warframe is coming. This takes you to a new world, where insects and plagues prevail. You’ll explore a vast open world, using giant flies as your means of transportation and navigating through ever-changing tunnels.
In addition, you can use the parasitic plant Helminth, which infects your spaceship. If you feed the herb with items you don’t need, it becomes stronger and grants you access to special abilities. Additionally, Helminth can absorb the skills of your Warframes, allowing you to swap skills. This enables you to assemble your own Warframes.
The new Necramechs are also making their way into the game. You first need to defeat these mechs before you can use them yourself.
The story of the new expansion Heart of Deimos is said to be very dark and horror-themed.
Players are very excited about the expansion
How are players reacting to the new expansion? The announcement has reignited the fire. Players are eager to play Warframe again. This is evident from Steamcharts. An average of about 80,000 players are simultaneously playing the online game. However, after the announcement of Heart of Deimos, the numbers skyrocketed and nearly doubled. The current peak is at 154,256 concurrent players on Steam. This is even a new record.
Viewer numbers on Twitch are also rising again, as seen on sullygnome. Especially during the TennoCon event, the numbers surged. The peak viewers reached 346,131. This is surprising, considering that the Ubisoft Forward event with several game presentations had around 487,000 viewers on Twitch.
The mood in the community is also very good. Fans want to prepare for the release of the new expansion and are currently replaying the existing content. New players are also attracted by the content.
