Warframe is set to receive a new Warframe named Harrow in the upcoming update for the PC version. This character is a priest who punishes enemies with headshots and inflicts self-flagellation. Additionally, the update will include new Earth maps, new enemies, and weapons.
Warframe, the dark coop shooter from Digital Extremes, is set to receive the already announced revamped maps on Earth in the upcoming update for the PC version. This update will also bring additional enemies, cool new weapons, a new gameplay mechanic for weapon handling, and as a highlight, the cruel priest Warframe Harrow.
Warframe – Harrow – With Incense, Whip, and Headshot
The coolest new feature of the upcoming update is undoubtedly Harrow. This new Warframe wears futuristic robes and a mechanical mitre as headgear, making him look like a sinister cyberpunk version of a clerical dignitary. His skills revolve around boosting allies, punishing enemies, and achieving redemption through headshots! Harrow’s skills are:
- “Reprimand”: Harrow releases a shockwave that immobilizes enemies in place. Enemies hit increase Harrow’s shields.
- “Atonement”: Harrow self-flagellates, stripping away his shield. As a result, his rate of fire and reload speed increase. Damage dealt by Harrow during this time is credited to him and his allies as health points.
- “Thuriferar”: Harrow waves his incense burner and buffs his friends. If he then takes out enemies, his friends receive energy buffs. Headshots yield extra energy.
- “Bond”: Harrow creates a shield that encloses his friends. Absorbed damage increases the chance of critical hits. When Harrow scores headshots from within the shield, the bonus improves.
To obtain Harrow as a Warframe, you must complete the mission “Chains of Harrow”.
Warframe – New Earth, Enemies, Weapons, and Dual Handling
In addition to Harrow, there are the already known revamped maps on Earth. There is also a new enemy prowling around, a Grineer soldier type named Nox, who shoots caustic slime with a poison syringe. However, if you shatter his glass helmet (headshot again!), he dies a miserable death.
The update also includes some cool new weapons, such as the “Scourge” scepter, which fires plasma and can be thrown to weaken enemies. However, the highlight is the new pistol “Knell”, which does not consume ammunition for headshots. Ideal for Harrow and his holy headshots. Furthermore, you can now use throwing weapons in combination with pistols.
The update featuring Harrow, the new Earth, and other goodies is expected to be released for PC later this week.
