The MMO shooter Warframe released a free mini-game called Frame Fighter on PC. This arcade game is played 1vs1 and resembles fighting games like Street Fighter.
Actually, Warframe is an MMO shooter with a strong PvE component. You carve your way through large groups of enemies with weapons and your different abilities, always on the lookout for the best loot. Frame Fighter is different. Here, players compete against each other in duels and use Warframes as their fighters.
The update featuring Frame Fighter is now available on PC. When it will come to PS4 and Xbox One is still unknown. The update with the new Warframe Revenant and the Frame Fighter mini-game is now also available for PS4 and Xbox One.

New Frame Fighters can be found through hidden items
Frame Fighter is a free mini-game: The arcade game is integrated within the game itself and, like Warframe, it is free to play. Frame Fighter was inspired by the player LocoCrazy_ and the developers at Digital Extremes implemented his idea.
Where can Frame Fighter be played? Players must visit the NPC Cephalon Simaris in the Sanctuary. Here, they can exchange Standing for Ludoplex. In the Ludoplex, players will have access to all mini-games of Warframe. This includes the side-scrolling shooter “Wyrmius” and “Happy Zephyr,” which is inspired by Flappy Bird.
Which Warframes can be fought with? Initially, the three starter Warframes Excalibur, Volt, and Mag are unlocked for everyone. They also possess their unique abilities in Frame Fighter, which can be utilized in combat. If you own the Prime variant of a frame, you can also use it in Frame Fighter by selecting it in your inventory.
How new fighters are unlocked: On the different maps, fragments are now scattered that need to be scanned. Scanning them will unlock new characters for Frame Fighter.

Players are in a collecting frenzy and acquiring all Frame Fighters
The community loves the mini-game and actively collects fighters: On the Warframe subreddit players are busy finding all locations of the fighters. They share the planets where fragments for the various frames can be scanned. The link to Reddit leads to the post where all locations of the Frame Fighters are listed.
Overall, the mood in the community is quite cheerful right now and everyone is having fun collecting and fighting. The mini-game is seen as a refreshing change. Some jokingly refer to it as the “real” endgame.
