Neural Sensors are needed in Warframe for all sorts of things. But how do you farm them best? MeinMMO will show you.
What are Neural Sensors and what do you need them for? Neural Sensors are a resource in Warframe that you need in mid and endgame for various purposes, such as crafting some Warframes, weapons, or Archwing parts.
We will show you how and where to farm Neural Sensors most effectively throughout the article.
All ways to obtain Neural Sensors in Warframe
How do you get Neural Sensors? There are basically 4 ways to acquire Neural Sensors:
- You can actively farm them.
- You can buy them in the shop.
- You can craft them via the blueprint.
- You can passively farm them.
Before we get to the actual farming methods, we will give you a few useful tips for farming.
Farming Neural Sensors – The best way to the rare resource
This is how you farm Neural Sensors best: There are various missions that you can replay to effectively farm Neural Sensors. In this guide, we focus on 2 missions on the planet Jupiter.
Bonus tips for better farming
- Activate a Resource Booster for the best possible output so that you get double the amount of a resource you pick up, and also a Resource Drop Chance Booster that doubles the drop chance.
- Equip the mod “Resourceful Retriever” on one of your pets (only beasts). This mod gives you an 18% chance to pick up double the amount of resources.
- If you want to focus not on speed but on the maximum number of Neural Sensors per run, you can use Warframes like Nekros and Khora. Here you have a chance to receive additional drops per enemy. Khora is especially worthwhile in survival missions.
- If you are far enough in the game to activate “The Steel Path”, you can increase the difficulty of the nodes on the star map and thus get higher chances for resources and mods. The Steel Path is essentially the “New Game+” of Warframe.
Mission 1: Thermisto (Jupiter)
One of the best methods to farm Neural Sensors is the assassination mission “Thermisto” on the planet Jupiter. Here you can get up to 5-8 Neural Sensors per run, with the mini-boss “Alad V” at the end of the mission having an increased drop chance.
The mission is particularly worthwhile for fast farming runs, as a run with Warframes like Titania, Gauss, Volt, or Xaku only takes a few minutes.
However, there are two ways to play the mission:
- You can rush to the boss fight without detours or fights and defeat Alad V as quickly as possible. In doing so, you hope for the mini-boss’s increased drop chance. Ideally, a run takes less than 2 minutes, but you usually only get one Neural Sensor.
- If you have followed our farming tips above, with a bit of luck you can get up to 4 (!) Neural Sensors per run.
- You take a bit more time, open containers on the way to the boss, and take down a few mobs to ideally get 5-8 Neural Sensors.

Mission 2: Cameria (Jupiter)
An alternative is the survival mission “Cameria,” which you also play on the planet Jupiter. In survival missions, you need to defend against endless waves of enemies and try to survive as long as possible – and in the meantime farm a lot of Neural Sensors.
Here, of course, it also depends on your drop luck, but you can collect 15-20 Neural Sensors in 10 minutes if you follow our farming tips. Pay particular attention to tip 3 and ideally play as Khora, as you can get the most loot with a good build here.
Passively Farming Neural Sensors – Here’s how
This is how you farm the resource passively: You can passively farm resources such as Neural Sensors. For this, you need resource drones known as Extractors. These are drones that you build and can assign to a planet on the star map once you have completed all missions on that planet.
If you want to farm Neural Sensors, it’s best to deploy an Extractor on Jupiter. This will collect the rare resource for you without any intervention.
How many Extractors you can deploy at the same time depends on your mastery rank. However, only one drone per planet is allowed.
Buying and crafting Neural Sensors
You can buy Neural Sensors at the market. It’s best to search for them using the search function by entering the name. Alternatively, you can find them under “Equipment” and then under “Components.” There, you can buy either a Neural Sensor or a blueprint for crafting the resource.
- 1 Neural Sensor costs 10x Platinum
- 1x Blueprint for Neural Sensor costs 100x Platinum
The smallest Platinum package in the shop costs €4.49 and gives you 75 Platinum.
Once you have purchased the blueprint, you need four components to produce Neural Sensors: 15,000 Credits, 15,000 Alloy Plates, 50,000 Nano Spores, and 25,000 Salvage.
Another important resource that you will need repeatedly is Plastids. You also use these when building various Warframes. Of course, we have a corresponding guide on MeinMMO: Warframe: Plastids farming 2026 – How to collect the resource quickly and easily
