This weekend, the TennoCon took place, the convention for Warframe. The developers revealed some details about upcoming features and content. This includes Empyrean, which allows players to pilot their battleships into space.
What is Empyrean? A part of Empyrean was already presented at the last TennoCon 2018. Back then, it was still called Project Railjack.
Players should be able to fly their own battleships into space and then fight other ships in orbit. An ambitious concept to have large battle ships roaming in Warframe, which can be customized and assembled in their own space dock.
At TennoCon 2019, further details were revealed, indicating that the Empyrean update will be even bigger than originally thought. Numerous features were added, some of which we want to briefly introduce to you.
When is the Empyrean release? A release date for the Empyrean update has not yet been announced. However, the next major expansion for Warframe is expected to be released later in 2019. What you can still expect in Warframe this year can be found here.
Squad Link: Work together with Tennos
What is Squad Link? At the presentation of Empyrean, it was shown how players can collaborate on their tasks in the update. It involved a shield generator that protected an enemy ship. The shield could also be disabled from a battle ship in space, however, it would be easier to do this from the planet.
Players on their battle ships can ask other Tennos for help in the open game worlds of the Plains of Eidolon or Fortuna, and vice versa. Shields can be disrupted or data can be stolen, for example.

Players can customize and upgrade their own ship
How can you customize the ship? Players will be able to customize their ships, the Railjacks, in a space hangar according to their own wishes.
This includes various equipment, such as different weapons, shields, and defensive mechanisms, as well as cosmetic items and colors, just like with the Warframes. Players can also name their Railjacks, which will be displayed on the hull of the ship.

Be space pirates and capture enemy ships
How to infiltrate enemy ships: Players will be able to use their ninja skills typical of Warframe while engaging in large space battles. Enemy ships can be infiltrated by Tennos using their Archwings, mechanical space wings. If you manage to sneak aboard the enemy ship and eliminate the captain, you can even steal the ship.
Kingpins will hunt players
What is the Kingpin system? The Empyrean update introduces a particularly nasty adversary for players with the Kingpin system. The Kuva Lich, who hunts the Tennos, was introduced and is unique to each player.
He knows how he has already been defeated and adapts his strategy accordingly.
In addition to Empyrean, Digital Extremes also announced the new open world Duviri Paradox:
