The mysterious third door in the Orbiter will soon be opened for the first time in Warframe! Behind it lies a personal quarter that offers new forms of decoration. Built-in shelves, an aquarium, and a music box are already available. What did the developers reveal in Devstream 103?
In Warframe, every player has a personal spaceship, the Orbiter. The ship can be colored and decorated to one’s liking. There are, among other things, posters with Warframe art, small figurines of the various frames, or special stones that one encounters on the maps.
The decoration craze in the Orbiter is even jokingly referred to by players as “Ikea-Frame”. Many feel that the constant redecorating reminds them of the Swedish furniture store.
In Devstream 103, the developers at Digital Extremes revealed that they will give decoration enthusiasts a much larger playground.
The third door in the Orbiter will be opened for the first time: Step inside, into the personal quarter
In the Orbiter, there are three doors in the back area, of which only two could be opened so far. The third door remained a mystery for all players for a long time.
Now it is clear: Behind the mysterious door lies a personal quarter!
These features will the personal quarter in the Orbiter have:
- Personal Warframe action figures, just like villain action figures: The player’s loadout will be loaded onto a “blank”, graphical template. The figures can also take different poses and be equipped with any weapon from the game.
- Built-in shelves: In the personal quarters, there will be, just like at Ikea, ready-made built-in shelves. Here you can place the small Noggle statues or your stone collection.
- Mannequins: Every Warframe player knows that the actual endgame is all about fashion! You can soon dress your most beautiful fashion frame on a mannequin and hang it on the wall.
- Fish tanks: For those who have no luck fishing and only catch small fish, you will soon be able to put them in an aquarium. It is adjustable which routes the fish should swim.
- Music box: With the jukebox “Somachord”, you can play music of your choice in your personal quarter. There will be music fragments hidden throughout the solar system. Those who scan the fragments will unlock new songs for the Orbiter. Each song has 4 fragments that must be scanned.
Squads will soon be able to visit each other’s Orbiters!
In connection with the opening of the personal quarter, there will be a few changes to the Orbiter:
- Quadruple decoration capacity: With the new room, the number of decoration items that can be placed in the Orbiter will also increase. Each individual room will have its own capacity in the future.
- New placement mode: Decoration can soon be placed more flexibly. Objects should soon be able to float, among other things. This will also apply to the Dojo.
- Mutual visits: Members of a group can soon visit each other’s Orbiters.
When this announcement from Devstream 103 will come to Warframe is still unknown. However, it shouldn’t be long now, and it can be expected that the third door will open as early as the next update.
