Warframe receives a new Prime version of a popular Warframe on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This time it is the “Dragon Warframe” Chroma. He has always been a good choice when hunting Eidolons.
The 22nd Prime Warframe: Chroma Prime is now available in the game. The 22nd Prime Warframe offers a new look for the fan-favorite Chroma. Additionally, the Prime version of the frame has 75 extra armor points and a 50 energy bonus. Otherwise, he is identical to a regular Chroma.
What else is there? In addition to Chroma Prime, the developers have also added Prime versions of the sniper rifle Rubico and the two-handed sword Gram to the game.
How do I get the Prime items? As always, you can collect the Prime versions through hard grinding of relics or trade them with other players. If that’s not your thing, you can buy the items in various bundles for real money. There will also be more cosmetic accessories available.
An optimal Eidolon killer
What is Chroma actually? Chroma is a special Warframe in many respects:
- He is massive and large
- He looks like a dragon
- He wears the skin of a monster, which he takes off with a skill and misuses as a turret
- He has different damage types, depending on how you paint him
- He is particularly well-suited for fighting the giant Eidolons
Why is Chroma so good against Eidolons? That’s because Chroma gets a huge buff to his damage output with the skill Vex Armor when he is wounded.
Buffed in this way, the Warframe can take apart the body parts of the huge Eidolons with just a few hits. Experienced players use the giant throwing star Glaive for this.
The Glaive can also be modified so that you can injure yourself with explosive damage. This way, you can reliably activate the buff from Vex Armor and the damage output becomes immense.
All of this also applies to the Prime version, which is even better than the normal version thanks to extra armor and energy. So if you like wiping out big creatures, then Chroma (Prime) is definitely a good choice.
Don’t miss the other Warframes: By the time you master the new Chroma, there may already be the new Brutal Warframe Garuda. And if you want to have Eidolon powers yourself, check out the new Warframe Revenant.
