We show how you can best prepare for the cinematic quest in Warframe to be able to play it right at release.
After an early announcement, several delays, and splitting the next major story expansion “The War Within” into several smaller parts, the long-awaited associated cinematic quest will be released in November. At least for PC players of the free-to-play space shooter.
In this, Conclave master Teshin will play a major role. For the first time, the eager Tenno will also learn more about the two Grineer queens and their dark plans. However, in order to dive straight into the story after its release, some players may still have several tasks ahead of them.
Preparation is everything
Veteran and longtime players should normally be able to jump right in. However, if you belong to those who haven’t been in the Warframe universe for long or haven’t progressed very far into the depths of space, you still have some hurdles to overcome.
Specifically, this means that you must have access to the planet Sedna and thus meet at least the requirements to unlock the Sedna bridge on Pluto. However, since this planet is one of the last to be unlocked on your journey through the dark, cold, and silent vacuum of space, many other celestial bodies and tasks lie ahead of you to get there.
In addition to all the bridges and their specific requirements that are to be found and mastered on your journey towards Sedna, you will automatically gain access to more quests. While the actual missions of the individual planets can be completed relatively quickly, you should take a little more time for the stories, as often you learn more about the Warframe universe only through them.
Also, keep in mind that these quests are currently not repeatable. Although developer Digital Extremes is responding to players’ wishes for a way to experience them again, they are currently only working on enabling this for “The Second Dream” in preparation for “The War Within”. More will follow at a later date.
The quests to be completed are:
- Vors Preis
- Einmal erwacht
- Der Archwing
- Gestohlene Träume
- Das neue Fremde
- Natah und
- Der zweite Traum
Especially for the last two stories, it’s worth not only having a careful ear for the dialogues. In “Natah”, you learn more about the origin of the Lotus, your good voice that guides you through the missions. “The Second Dream”, on the other hand, marks the beginning of a large, three-part, and comprehensive Tenno origin story, where “The War Within” tells the second part.
Just like in “The Second Dream”, many cutscenes are also awaiting you in the upcoming story, in which both your equipped Warframe and, for the first time, your Operator will be visible. So if you come up with the idea of streaming it or digitally capturing it for yourself, you should ensure that you are satisfied with the look of your gear.
Besides these rather personal requirements, you should have reached at least Rank 5. Not only must you have built a weapon of this rank as a requirement for the Sedna bridge, but you also need mastery rank 5 to start “The Second Dream”. Once you have mastered all these tasks, you are ready to enjoy the upcoming major story expansion.
