For this weekend, not only New York calls for help, but also our solar system.
Last night, a new tactical alert named “Thousand Cuts” started simultaneously on PC and consoles in the online shooter Warframe. You will be contacted by Teshin, the PvP point of contact, who is somewhat concerned about your melee skills and thus sends you on several missions where no firearms are allowed. So, everyone who has always wanted to learn the combos of their favorite blade has a great opportunity here.
Additionally, your energy is capped at 25. Therefore, it’s worth a quick remodel of your Warframe mods, since you can confidently forgo Flow or Primed Flow, freeing up a slot for something more helpful.
Some Tips
For those now thinking: “But what should I do with 25 energy? Most abilities cost much more!”, here’s a tip: Try to achieve maximum energy efficiency with the mods Streamline and Fleeting Expertise. This way, you can use all of your Warframe abilities. Hence, you can activate Rhino’s Iron Skin and even take a short breather with his Stomp if you’re surrounded by too many enemies.
For those who remember the tactical alert “Exit” and the Grineer defector to be saved, you will encounter the new enemy type “Executor” here, along with its abilities. So, don’t let yourself be surrounded by multiple enemies, as this can be quite unpleasant for your Warframe.
Additionally, at least one maniacal Grineer is constantly jumping around. Therefore, you should not stray too far from your group, because if you’re not careful, you’ll end up on the ground with a hunchbacked “friend” pounding on you.
Rewards Worth Having
But what do you need to do in this tactical alert and what rewards can you snag? Here’s a brief overview:

In addition to the helpful Catalyst and Reactor, you have the chance to earn a weapon that is currently not in the game. The return of the Machete should also please the completionists among the Tenno, allowing them to complete their arsenal.
However, the possible reward in mission 4, which you can play as often as you like, might be even more delightful for some. The random rewards here include 5 Gold Cores, as well as mods like Voltaic Strike, which is also currently not available in the game. This mod is part of a set that was available at the end of a previous event, and even our knight in shining armor, Baro Ki’Teer, professionally a Void Trader, has only had it once before.

How one feels about these Primed mods is up to the individual. For those with too many Ducats, Credits, and Fusion Cores to max out these mods, you’re welcome to grab them. For new players, however, these Primed versions are rather not suitable. Here, you should save your Ducats for the next merchant visit, as you will probably need them more urgently then. Nevertheless: If interested, just go ahead and purchase them to be prepared for potential changes. That’s how I will handle it, at least.

This is a set that increases the cut damage of the respective weapon category by a maximum of 120%. Especially for melee weapons, Sirrender Death is a must, although one should not overlook Tearing Notch. Using it with a Sancti Tigris allows for a cut damage of over 20,000.
Moreover, with Primed Heavy Trauma, he offers the perfect mod for Bo Prime and War. This provides up to 165% more impact damage. Therefore, my personal recommendation to everyone who doesn’t have these mods in their inventory yet: Buy! Definitely! Without argument!

It is clear once again that Warframe usually has an event or tactical alert ready a few days after other major game releases, and does not silently suffer the potential absence of players like unnamed other developers of major titles. They do not hold back.
