Two weeks have passed at Warframe and the Void Trader Baro Ki’Teer is once again honoring the Tenno, who can worship him and spend their last ducats.
Changes as far as the eye can see
Anyone who has been following Warframe a bit (or is on PC) experienced a nasty surprise last week. At least those whose favorite frames were affected by the many character changes.
Not only did all Warframes finally receive a passive ability, but some had to undergo partial or even complete reworking.
Those who previously enjoyed a Blessing Trinity to provide their team with a 99% damage reduction will now only be able to achieve this value in solo play, as the amount of reduction is based on an average of the missing health of the entire team.
Friends of Excalibur’s ultimate should now seek a bit more proximity to the enemies to avoid being too much affected by damage fall-off. And free blinding is also no longer included.
Shot beyond the goal
However, most changes were made to Mag and Valkyr, which upset many players. Mag, the magnetizing frame, has already been under the developers’ scrutiny for the second time. Previously, she was a guarantee for fast and easy farming of resources. This was apparently too much of a good thing and was quickly toned down.
With patch 18.13, which will also be included in the upcoming console update that has not yet been dated, Mag’s abilities have once again been curtailed or even completely changed.
As for Valkyr, she is more or less rendered completely obsolete now. Her strength was her ultimate, without a doubt. The fact that this now costs more energy per second with longer activation would have been bearable. However, the requirement that there should be no enemies within a 20-meter radius upon deactivation, as otherwise she will usually kill herself, is going way beyond the target.
In a survival, excavation, rescue, or interception mission, there is hardly any time, let alone space, to find a quiet spot to safely end the ability and refill energy. Thus, many players are forced to come up with an adequate alternative and mod the corresponding character according to their wishes, which can take some time.
Anyone who also wants your time and attention this weekend is the Void Trader Baro Ki’Teer.
The ‘When, Where, and What’ of the current offer
When can Baro be found?
From June 3rd, 2016, 7 PM to Sunday, June 5th, 2016, 7 PM.
Where can he be found?
- PC: Orcus Relay, Pluto
- PS4: Kronia Relay, Saturn
- Xbox One: Vesper Relay, Venus
What does he have?
The offer for PS4 and Xbox One is as follows:
Voltaic Strike and High Voltage are good mods, but one should farm these on Eris instead of wasting ducats for them.
Anyone looking for more items to raise their mastery rank may access Machete Wraith and Prima Tetra. However, one should not have too high expectations regarding their long-term usefulness.
And for color and style enthusiasts, this time there is the Nexus Fell pattern for your Kubrow, as well as the Prisma Hecate Syandana and the Baro Cloak.
But what greets the PC players during a visit with Baro?
New Space Ninjas are advised to acquire Primed Continuity and Primed Shred if possible, as both mods are extremely helpful on the further journey through space. The former significantly extends your ability duration and the latter greatly increases shotgun damage. This includes the sentinel weapon Carrier.
The only new item is, as so often in recent weeks, a piece from Baro Ki’Teer’s own fashion collection. Most likely, he will soon bring the previously outstanding item Guardian Wings in his personal design.
The offer – okay on PC, but for the Tenno of the consoles, there’s rather less to grab…
