Do you want to know the best minis? Then check out the tier list from Warcraft Rumble on MeinMMO. We will reveal which minis are nearly unbeatable.
Warcraft Rumble has been released for a while now, and slowly but surely, a good picture is emerging of which minis are particularly good and which should be neglected.
Keep in mind that this tier list mainly applies to the PvP of Warcraft Rumble. In PvE missions, there are often special factors that make certain minis completely unplayable and require a specific solution approach.
It should be noted that every mini almost always has direct counters, as the “rock, paper, scissors” principle generally applies here. So, if a mini is in the “S” category, that doesn’t mean it’s unstoppable – it just means it’s strong in many situations and can counter many other minis.
At the same time, this means that minis at the lower end – in D-tier – can be strong if played in a good combo.
How is the rating determined? The tier list aims to achieve an assessment based on the following criteria:
- Versatility: How many other minis can a unit defeat and counter? Can the unit capture resources like crates? Can the unit be placed anywhere?
- Speed: How fast does a mini move? How much time does the opponent have to react?
- Cost: How expensive is a mini and how much value do you really get for the gold spent?
- Abilities: How strong are a mini’s abilities and how much can they influence the gameplay?
This results in categorization into the various tiers. The S-tier is considered particularly strong, while the D-tier is viewed as particularly weak or only useful in special situations.
Tier list for all leader minis in Warcraft Rumble
| Rank | Mini Name |
| S-Tier | Baron Totenschwur Tirion Fordring |
| A-Tier | Grommash Höllschrei Rend Schwarzfaust Hogger |
| B-Tier | Cairne Bluthuf General Drakkisath Sneed Sylvanas Windläufer |
| C-Tier | Trübauge der Alte Maiev Schattensang Blutmagier Thalnos |
| D-Tier | Jaina Prachtmeer Charlga Klingenflanke |
The strongest leaders: Baron Totenschwur is particularly a pain in PvP, mainly due to his passive hero ability. This ensures that skeletons automatically spawn at the main building and controlled towers every few seconds, which then walk down their lane. This, in turn, means that Baron Totenschwur automatically counters opposing goblins, who almost always require escort to gather gold. One ability even makes these skeletons ranged attackers that can almost endlessly stop flying siege units (like the Gargoyle). Baron Totenschwur was recently nerfed, but he remains extremely strong in PvP.
Tirion Fordring requires strong tanks by his side, who then become almost immortal as they are continually healed by Tirion. If a troop consisting of Tirion, a tank, and a ranged attacker pushes ahead, it’s hardly stoppable and needs very strong area damage or spells to have any chance at all.
The weakest leaders: At the lower end, we have Jaina Prachtmeer. Since a change to her ability, where only the next spell is discounted, she is now significantly weaker – however, the change was necessary due to a “spell spam build” that could decide the match in seconds without any chance to defend.
At least: Blood Mage Thalnos now has more life steal and damage and is therefore no longer one of the weakest leaders and has risen to “C-Tier”.
Charlga Klingenflanke sounds strong, as she can currently keep and kill single melee fighters at a distance. However, her hero ability, which alters the costs of minis, requires a highly specialized deck along with a certain element of luck, where some minis are best never played at all. With the current minis, creating a good combination here is very difficult.
Tier List for all unit minis in Warcraft Rumble
| Rank | Mini Name |
| S-Tier | Defias Bandits Stonehoof Tauren Spiny Hog Harpy Whelp Egg Pyromancer S.I.C.H.E.R. Pilot |
| A-Tier | Hunter Frostwolf Shaman Necromancer Firehammer Chimera Griffon Rider Stray Abomination Earth Elemental |
| B-Tier | Banshee Raptors Gargoyle Murloc Tidehunter Dark Iron Miner Goblin Pioneer Bat Rider Skeletons Worgen Harvest Golem Meat Wagon Flame Chaser Drachen Gnoll Slayer Darkspeare Troll Ogre Mage |
| C-Tier | War Hymn Raider Foot Soldiers War Hymn Grunter Skeleton Group Spiders Ghul Fire Elemental Mountain Raiders Core Hounds |
| D-Tier | Vultures Plague Builder Angry Chickens Molten Giant |
New Entry: Chimera – The Chimera is the new mini in Season 2 and a bit of an oddity. The Chimera can attack not only flying but also ground enemies, using two different attacks – a poison dot and chain lightning. At 5 gold, the Chimera is quite expensive, but it can take out many enemies at once. With the ability “Corrosive Breath,” poison damage is further increased, making it currently the best talent for this flying beast.
The strongest unit minis: Defias Bandits are cheap and incredibly versatile. Although they deal little damage alone, their stun is extremely valuable. You can easily stun opposing tanks or strong casters with a (stealth) Defias Bandit while a tower or another mini takes out the stunned opponent. For only 1 gold, the Bandit is one of the best support troops you can buy.
Almost as strong is the Stonehoof Tauren, and that’s due to her charge. She charges the first enemy and deals high damage to them. But even after that, she occasionally charges at other targets in combat and can thus take out ranged attackers, even though she is technically still fighting an opposing tank. At the same time, she deals solid damage to towers and is therefore very versatile.
The weakest unit minis: At the bottom end, we find the angry chickens. A mini with a gigantic number, but they instantly die against any kind of area effects and therefore almost never provide any benefit and can only impress in absolute niche decks.
The molten giant is, on paper, the ultimate tank with many hit points and strong siege damage, but its cost of 6 is too high, and its movement speed is too slow. Other minis (like harpies) can completely counter him for just 2 gold, and only in very rare cases will he ever reach his target alive – if he doesn’t get taken over by a banshee beforehand.
Tier List for all spells in Warcraft Rumble
| Rank | Spell Name |
| S-Tier | Blizzard |
| A-Tier | Deep Breath |
| B-Tier | Holy Nova Chain Lightning |
| C-Tier | Transform Execute Jump off the shovel |
| D-Tier | Arcane Shot Living Bomb |
The strongest spell: Blizzard is currently the ultimate spell in Warcraft Rumble. It not only deals extremely high damage but also slows down opposing minis. Thanks to a talent, Blizzard can even be “double” cast – one freely on the field, another on your own base, to defeat attackers. Even large armies will be swiftly taken down by Blizzard.
The weakest spells: Arcane Shot can be used multiple times in succession, with the damage doubling each time and the cost increasing by 1 gold. To get the full effect, the spell must be used 4 times, costing a total of 10 gold to deal significant damage. It only has strong synergies with Blood Mage Thalnos or Jaina Prachtmeer, who are, however, easily countered.
Living Bomb deals devastating damage to large armies but is weak against few strong minis. The cost of 6 gold is simply too high for it to be used regularly and reliably, and almost always a Blizzard could do the job.
With a small strategic trick, you can consistently never lose honor in Rumble.
