One week before the official trailer, new images from the Warcraft movie have been leaked. Take a first look!
Pity for an Orc
In less than a week, BlizzCon 2015 will take place. Alongside many expectations for new announcements concerning existing Blizzard games, there will also be the long-awaited first official trailer for the Warcraft film. As with the last Comic Con, some images have been leaked in advance and spread like wildfire on the internet. It’s best to get an impression yourself of how the images look in their (now presumably final) form and whether they meet the high expectations that fans will have for the finished film (Click to enlarge).
Especially the depiction of the Orcs I find solid and impressive. They truly look like living, feeling beings rather than being reduced to their wild “otherness”. It’s difficult to assess the humans, as the images seem to have been taken in motion – for me, the film stands and falls mainly with the design of the surrounding world, i.e., the richness of detail in the props.
We hopefully get to see the full trailer this coming Saturday.
