Duncan Jones, the director of the Warcraft movie, has a special birthday wish: He wants to make the 2nd Warcraft movie.
On Twitter, the production studio Legendary congratulated the director of the Warcraft movie, Duncan Jones, on his birthday. Jones immediately picked up this congratulation and replied: “You know what would be a really nice gift? 😉 #Warcraft2”
Duncan Jones mentioned a while ago that he would love to direct another Warcraft movie – albeit with a smaller budget and less interference in his approach. At that time, Jones criticized that there was too much interference from all sides and therefore he could not incorporate important aspects into the film that he would have liked to have.
Jones also sees himself as a gamer who has played the Warcraft games for a long time, and thus feels it is his duty to deliver films that “do justice to the fans”.
Originally, Warcraft was planned as a trilogy, although very little is known about the possible content of parts 2 and 3. It would likely make sense to continue the story of Thrall, whose foundations were already laid in the first part.
So far, there has been no definitive statement about a possible second part of the Warcraft film. The reason for this is that the film, especially in America, did not meet expectations and received particularly negative reviews there. In Europe, the film was much better received but faded against the success in China.
Warcraft: The Beginning is the most successful video game adaptation of all time, yet the success was probably not enough to justify a second part. Whether the desire for a sequel approval on his birthday will bear fruit remains to be seen in the coming months.
It would be desirable.
Some actors have become lazy, fat, and happy through the Warcraft movie.
