The military MMO War Thunder is now available to play on Xbox One. Additionally, the Closed Beta for naval battles has started.
War Thunder is getting bigger: War Thunder is a military MMO where you engage in battle with aircraft and tanks. Combined battles are even possible. However, until now, battles were only conducted on land and in the air.
You can now also fight naval battles with warships. And if you want to play War Thunder on Xbox One, you can finally do that now!
Early Access on Xbox One – But only with Founder Pack
War Thunder on Xbox One, but it costs something: Xbox players can now play War Thunder on Xbox One. However, not in the free-to-play version, as this will not be released until later in 2018. There are already early access packs available that you can start with right away.
The cheapest package costs 19.99 euros and gives you access to the game on Xbox One. You can also purchase two more expensive packages on the Microsoft homepage, which include tons of premium playtime, in-game currency, and premium vehicles.
Crossplay with PC possible: By the way, don’t worry about a lack of players on Xbox. As is common with Microsoft, War Thunder supports crossplay between PC and the Xbox version of the game.
What is War Thunder? War Thunder is a military MMO. You control military vehicles and can shoot at enemies with them. War Thunder started with air combat – even today, War Thunder is considered the military MMO in which aircraft are the easiest to control.
Naval Battle Beta has started with ships
In addition to the Xbox One early access, there’s the closed beta for naval battles in War Thunder. Access here is also available through special packages. These cost 49.99 euros each on the War Thunder homepage and offer either a German or American destroyer along with premium playtime and in-game currency.
Later, there will also be access for applicants to the naval battle beta. Xbox players can also participate in the early access for the ships. The beta already features over 40 ships from the German Navy and the US Navy. The ship classes range from torpedo boats to light cruisers.
