The release of Ark Survival Evolved on Xbox One in Game Preview is imminent. But when do the servers go live exactly on December 16?
On Wednesday, December 16, it will be time: The dinosaur MMO Ark Survival Evolved will be released as Game Preview on Xbox One. But when is the exact release? When does it start in Germany?
As the developers announced on Twitter, it is supposed to be midnight in each respective region. In the USA, Eastern Time is assumed.

5 important facts about the launch of Ark Survival Evolved on Xbox One
- You should be able to start the download on the Xbox One at midnight. The game is in Game Preview (a kind of Early Access) and will cost around €35. Owners of the Game Preview version will not have to purchase it again at the release in June 2016.
- There will be no option for preloading Ark. Perhaps you will try out the game then on an “official” server, as they are also expected to go live. Furthermore, there will be options to create your own servers that can accommodate up to 70 players.
- The developers state that the performance target for the hardware hog compared to the PC version is “Medium-High Settings” and 30+ FPS.
- The Xbox One version should be playable until the final retail version is released in June 2016.
- The popular achievements will not be available in the Preview version yet.
