In the annual GameStars voting, it is not our in-house test ratings from MeinMMO, GameStar or GamePro that take center stage, but the conclusion of our communities.
That’s why we invite you to celebrate the video game year 2019 with us and to choose your personal favorites in our GameStars voting.
In 16 different categories, you can click your favorite from the past 12 months to the top and vote for the best PC game, the most captivating story, or the most atmospheric soundtrack.

These are the GameStars
The GameStars are the traditional voting for the Game of the Year: Our community together with the readers of GamePro and GameStar decide which video games of the last 12 months have proven to be the best.
Here are the important dates
- January 20: Start of voting
- February 3: End of voting
- February 10-14: Announcement of the winners on MeinMMO, GameStar, GamePro, and MAX
How can I participate? To participate, you select your personal favorite from our nominated list in 16 different categories.
Do you miss a certain title in the nominations? No problem: Through the search field of the respective categories, you can add your personal favorite yourself and vote for it.
What are the conditions? All games for which you vote must have been released in 2019 or must have been expanded and updated with new content and expansions. Concrete examples of the latter would be Fortnite or Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers.

What you can win in the voting for the GameStars
We have organized great prizes for you in cooperation with GOG.com to sweeten your participation in our community voting. Among all participants in the GameStars voting, we will raffle:

- 1 x Cyberpunk mega fan package: This prize is exclusive to members of GameStar Plus! – It includes not only the game but also lovingly compiled merchandise from CD Projekt, signed by members of the Cyberpunk development team and provided by the CD Projekt Red Store.
The giveaway runs from January 20 to February 3, 2020. The winners will be announced on February 14, 2020, when we will also announce the winners in the GameStars main categories.
